A shocking report coming out of Florida that a high ranking member of the Marine Corps from Virginia who was on Temporary Duty to United States Central Command in Florida was busted in a massive Prostitution Sting.
On October the 14th, Colonel Kevin Scott was arrested for soliciting a prostitute during a sting on a prostitution ring called ”Operation No Tricks, No Treats” in which a whopping 277 people were charged by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
The 51 year old Marine Corps Colonel was stationed at the Joint Staff in Suffolk, Virginia where he was the Joint Force Directorate, before his temporary visit to CentCom, according to spokeswoman Gina Levy from Marine Forces Command.
Deputies say that Scott approached an undercover Detective posing as a prostitute shortly after 11:30 PM on Saturday, October 14th where he asked for sex in return for $80 in cash.
After he was arrested he acknowledged to Detectives that he found the location of the supposed bookers using the website Backpage to respond to an advertisement for sex.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd held Scott's mugshot in front of him during a press conference, saying that when he was arrested Scott drove a leased car which was paid for by the government to the location where he met the undercover Detective for what he thought was going to be sex.
"He said he was retired and he was no longer in the Marine Corps. That's not true," said Judd, who said Scott was active as of last weekend.
"We had to call the government and say, 'Hey would you like to come get your leased car 'cause your colonel is on the way to the county jail,' " he said.
Scott joined the Corps in November 1984 whose current MOS is 0840: Colonel Logistician; but he's likely going to be in very hot water after this arrest.
The Marine Corps has so far not announced what will happen to Colonel Scott as a result of this charge.
