A Tailor has been accused of murdering his own customer with scissors after the customer accused the tailor of not delivering his order in time.
The customer, 20 year old Bashir Shehu Ibrahim allegedly complained to the Tailor, Inyasi Musa Aliyu Mai Yasin of Sabon Layi Tudun Wada, Zaria, which resulted in the two having a heated argument over the Tailor failure to fulfill the customer's order in a prompt manner.
Rabi’u Ibrahim, a relative of the now deceased customer says that the argument broke out over sewing a cloth, in which Bashir gave to Inyasi for the Eid-el-fitr (karamar Sallah) in which the tailor did not complete the sewing, despite paying him the money he charged for the job.
The customer had went to the shop to collect the product in which he was promised and when he went inside it wasn't ready; which caused great anger between the two men.
His relative Rabi’u says that the pair were neighbors for many years but Inyasi ignored the long standing relationship entirely and chose to pick up a pair of scissors and fatally stab his neighbor.
He said, “We rushed him to hospital but within 10 minutes of the happening, he died.”
The Divisional Police Officer, Tudun Wada, Zaria, confirmed the events which took place leading to one man's death.
Police Public Relations Officer, Kaduna State Command, ASP Mukhtar Hussaini Aliyu, also confirmed the incident and said that the suspect is in their custody for the murder.
“As we were returning from the hospital with the corpse of late Bashir, the father of Inyasi called the police and handed Inyasi to them, telling them that he is the one that killed Bashir,” said ASP Aliyu.
