As US-supported forces free more and more prisoners from the ISIS held city of Raqqa, coalition troops are finding surprising people amongs them.
The latest discovery came in the form of a pregnant 15 year old girl who declared that she’s from Kansas.
The girl, who was brought to Syria by her father five years ago, has a horrific tale to tell. “My father, of course, didn’t tell us that we were going to Syria. When it was time to get out of the car and cross the border it was like, ‘You’re going to Syria.’ And yeah, it was a really big shock.”

The reporters from the Kansas City Star could not reveal exactly where the girl was from but she did say that the first thing she would do when back was go to Texas Roadhouse. The restaurant chain has restaurants in Olathe, Lawrence, Topeka, Manhattan and Wichita.
She was separated from her mother whom she misses very much and called out to her: “Hi Mom, if you see this video please contact me.”
The unnamed girl stated that she hates ISIS for what they put her through and that she and the other women were basically prisoners: “We were prisoners. We were just quiet. Shut up. Sit down. You’re in the house. You have nothing to say. Be glad your head isn’t chopped off. When you walk outside there’s intestines on the street. There’s a head cut off from the shrapnel. There’s a leg.”
Despite her young age of 15, ISIS made her marry a fighter who was killed a few months ago. The girl is six months pregnant with his child but despite all these horrors, she still longs for a future life in the US: “I still have hope, hope to go to school, hope to be a normal person, hope to be a mother to my child.”
