Authorities from multiple law enforcement agencies in Lawrence County, Ohio say that they're engaged in a manhunt for a suspect after they've stumbled upon a grisly triple homicide near Pedro.
Deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office says that they received an emergency 911 call about a possible shooting off Route 93, and once they arrived to the scene they found three adults inside the home dead with gunshot wounds.
A fourth adult was found to be stabbed in the head and the neck less than a quarter mile away, in what appeared to be a targeted string of attacks on a family and their relatives.
There was a belief that an eight year old boy may have been kidnapped from the second home, where the stabbing victim had been transported to a West Virginia Hospital in Huntington.
A few hours after the initial findings of the triple homicide law enforcement say they spotted a blue pickup truck belonging to 23 year old Aaron Lawson, a person of interest in the case.
When Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle near Ironton, Lawson sped away and led them on a high speed chase before he found crashed.
Lawson then abandoned the vehicle and ran into the woods where a manhunt is currently underway to locate him.
Special Agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, including crime-scene and cyber unit investigators, are assisting Lawrence County with the case, said Jill Del Greco, a spokeswoman for BCI and the State Attorney General's office.
None of the victims have been identified as of this time and the motives remain under investigation.
If anyone has information about where Aaron Lawson could be, they're urged to contact the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office at 740-532-3525 or 911 immediately.
