President Trump was ridiculed half a year ago by Swedish politicians for talking about Sweden’s migrant's problems. A few months later, no one is making those comments anymore in the Scandinavian capital Stockholm.
Ms. Elizabeth Fritz, the renowned lawyer from Sweden, has admitted in an interview that the government is trying to hide the fact that most of the suspects in rape cases are now migrants. Given the number of migrants in Sweden, this is a stunning statistic.
Ms. Fritz explained: 'If we are to work preventively and stop rape it’s time to find out how the perpetrator looks. We must take the matter seriously and dare to lift the lid. How else will we fight these terrible and tough rapes committed to all victims? It is the perpetrator that is the problem. I will proceed with the question because this is NOT acceptable.'
The country has the highest number of migrants per capita of Europe and kept accepting a large number of mainly Muslim migrants during the 2015-2016 crisis in Europe. They are now experiencing the backlash of this policy according to Ms. Fritz.
Stockholm was hit by and ISIS-inspired truck attack this year which killed five people. The driver was Mr. Rakhmat Akilov, a failed asylum seeker.
Furthermore, just as in Germany, many Swedish women and girls have reported being groped at Swedish music festivals by Muslim immigrants. In certain cases, the girls were also raped.
The number of reported rapes has gone up from 4,208 in 2006 to 6,560 in 2016.
In a number of incidents, a mob of 'foreign youths' was accused of sexually assaulting dozens of females at a Swedish music festival in July 2016.
At least 35 aged between 12 and 17 reported being attacked during the 'Party in the Park' festival in Karlstad, 250 miles from Stockholm in Sweden's Varmland County.
Sweden, just as other Scandinavian countries, has seen a swing to the right in politics over the last few years because of these issues.
