A man stayed in a fancy hotel in China, but when payment time came, he decided he'd rather escape creatively than fork out big money. Unfortunately, his one great escape almost caused his life.

The Chinese man climbed out of the window of a room located in the hotel’s 19th floor to try to flee from the hotel bill. It was a nerve-wrecking experience even for spectators seeing him dangerously and nervously dangling from a telephone wire at an astounding height.

Things only got worse when he started swinging precariously near high-voltage power lines.

The man’s wild attempt at an escape from the bill may not have panned out as he planned, but at least he still has a lot to be thankful for, as he was rescued from the possibility of imminent danger, if not death, as firefighters successfully managed to bring him down.

It is not known how long he stayed dangling in the air, hanging on wires, before help was called and firefighters responded.

It is also not clear how much he owed the hotel and if charges will be filed against his misadventures and mischief, or if he’ll be allowed a free pass considering what he already went through. It is also not indicated whether the man could be suffering from mental issues. In any case, his out-of-this-world attempt at escaping his bill created more trouble for the hotel management and staff.

It is certainly a “what-were-you-thinking “ kind of moment for the unnamed Chinese man. Hopefully he learns his lesson, and that others will not imitate such a reckless, irresponsible stunt, and creative, but still illegal, way of dodging payment for services he availed of, and presumably enjoyed.
