Reports from the United States Geographic Survey state that a major 6.6 Magnitude Earthquake has struck east of Buldir Island near the Rat Islands and Aleutian Islands in Alaska.
As of this time there is no confirmation as to loss of life or property damage but aftershocks could be expected later.
Fortunately the hypocenter of the quake is considered too deep for any potential of a Tsunami.
