While a man was sleeping, a train came to him.
A train derailed and crashed into a home, injuring a man in northwest Atlanta on Thursday. The man was rushed to the hospital for treatment to his injuries.
The CSX train derailed in the wee hours of the morning at 3:30 a.m. and slammed into the man’s bedroom in the area of Andrews and Easton streets.
As a result of the incident, Joseph E. Boone Boulevard is close just west of Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. Officials say it would take a few hours to clear.
It is not yet clear what caused the train to derail, and who’s responsible for the accident that could have been deadly for the victim. Fortunately, officials say the man only suffered minor injuries and doing good in the hospital.

The identity of the man hit by the derailed train was not released. No other details were provided by the authorities, including damage to the house where the train crashed.
It is also not clear if the driver of the train is under probe.
