Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich announced today the conviction of a vile pedophile from Frayser, Tennessee who had terrorized four children leaving them scarred for life.
Law enforcement agencies say an investigation began once the children, ages 2, 5, 8, and 11 years old told their grandmother of the nonstop brutality being committed against them.
34-year-old Sharrad Sharp was accused of holding the young children's heads under water in the bathtub to simulate drowning, including the two-year-old.
The children's grandmother said that Sharp would choke the children until they became close to unconscious, and then throw them across the room smashing them into the walls by their neck.
Neighbors confirmed this abuse, and say that it was far worse than even foretold, remembering several incidences of Sharp dragging the children from the front lawn into the house by their hair.
“The child was dragged home by her hair,” said neighbor April Hall.
Hall said the abuse was so horrific that angry neighbors beat Sharp up and ran him out of the neighborhood.
“All the stuff going on with the children, neighbors put him in his place. You should always try to protect the children,” said Hall.
The incidents happened at the Warren Apartments on the 1344 block of Clementine Road in south Memphis.

Investigators say that the abuses continued for nearly four years before it was finally reported to authorities, who then involved Children's Services to further examine the children, who told them of the continued crimes.
It became revealed in a courtroom that the children had also been molested by the disgusting man, who has now been convicted on multiple felony counts for his horrendous actions towards the children, including aggravated child abuse, aggravated child neglect, aggravated sexual battery, and two counts of aggravated assault.
He will face sentencing next month for his vile and disgusting crimes.
