A woman’s body was found under a Lexington bridge and now police are investigating the matter.
Police officers say someone reported seeing a woman on the ground under a bridge located on East London Avenue near Eastland Parkway around 9:10 a.m. on Sunday.
The responding officers found the woman already dead near the railroad tracks.
Not much details yet have been provided by the authorities. The identity of the woman remains unknown, as well as the circumstances leading to her death. It has yet to be established whether she died of foul means, natural causes or a possible case of suicide. The cause of death is yet to be revealed, too.
The coroner’s office and the police department’s robbery and homicide unit are investigating.
