Police Officers from the Palatka Police Department in Putnam County, Florida say that an officer-involved shooting has killed one suspect.
Emergency 911 received a call about a domestic disturbance at Mellon Manner Apartments, at which time police were dispatched to the scene.
Although the location is outside of the Palatka Police Department’s jurisdiction they were sent in to assist Putnam County Sheriff's who were yet to arrive at the scene.
Once police approached the residence at 3701 St Johns Avenue they say that 27-year-old Tyler Pinkston, who hails from Palatka then pulled a firearm on officers.

Palatka Police had no choice but to shoot the man, who was then transported to a nearby hospital in an attempt to save his life but he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators say they've recovered the gun the suspect was holding from the scene of the crime.
As a standard routine during all officer-involved shootings in Florida, the responding officers are now placed on administrative leave while the Florida Department of Law enforcement investigates.
