A Escambia County Sheriff’s Office spokesman would not comment on the nature of the crimes or disclose any other information since the Wildlife Conservation Commission is heading up the case. Those living in the area reported a large amount of police activity on Perdido Lake Road, Vantage Road and other areas in close proximity of the river.
One witness caught sight of the suspect as they ran through their yard towards the Perdido River Friday night.
News outlets reaching out to the Wildlife Conservation Commission have been unsuccessful.
