#Breaking : Mass Shooting at BMW Dealership in Ohio leaves Multiple Police Officers Shot

At least three people including two police officers have been shot by a gunman at a Willoughby Hills, Ohio BMW dealership.

Employees at the BMW dealership contacted police around 2:30 local time after a customer came into the building acting extremely irrational before he began opening fire.

Willoughby Hills Police were dispatched to the scene where the man then pulled a firearm and shot at least one employee at the dealership and two police officers.

One police officer was transported via a careflight helicopter to Metro with serious injuries and the other officer was taken to Hillcrest Hospital in stable condition.

According to the Willoughby Police Department Officers and Firefighters from Willoughby, Wickliffe and Kirtland Hills assisted at the scene.

The shooting happened at Classic BMW in the 2500 block of Som Center Road just south of the Interstate 90 interchange.

The Willoughby Hills Police officers were reportedly wearing bulletproof vests which may have saved their lives.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the shooting alongside the ATF.

The suspect was shot and taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, according to Willoughby Hills Police Chief Christopher J. Collins.

“Upon making contact, there was a conversation between the officers; at some point during that contact, the customer drew a handgun and shots were fired,” Chief Collins said.

The two officers are patrolmen. One is a 25-year veteran of the department and the other is a 3-year veteran, Collins said.
