The number of horror Airbnb stories about guests leaving their room in an awful state or checking out too late are numerous, but this one must be top of the charts when it comes to the creepiness.
In Minnesota, police arrested an Airbnb guest who was found naked in the bed of the hosts’ 7-year-old girl, with his penis erect and ready to penetrate the child. Luckily at that moment, the father of the house walked in on him.
Mr. Derrick Aaron Kinchen, 28 years old, resident of Lansing, Michigan, had rented a spare bedroom via AirBnB in a house in Minnesota in order to visit a wedding in the area.
The father of the house declared that Mr. Kinchen had left for the evening when he put his daughter to bed. The room he was renting out was further down the hall. Around midnight, he could hear Mr. Kinchen return and go to the room. About fifteen minutes later he also heard him walking round in the hall and open another door. When he went to check he could see that the door of his daughter’s bedroom had been opened.
He walked into the room himself and to his amazement found Mr. Kinchen lying naked next to his daughter.
According to court records: “The defendant was naked and his penis was erect. [The girl’s] nightgown was pulled up and [her father] could see [her] stomach and underwear.”
The father shouted at Mr. Kinchen who quickly ran into the other room, grabbed his coat and skirted out of the house.
Police used a tracking dog to locate Mr. Kinchen, who was arrested a bit later in a “partly covered fishing boat” at a neighbor’s house
“The defendant was naked except for a suit coat,” the court document stated.
Mr. Kinchen remains in jail on a $250,000 bail, he is charged with the second-degree criminal sexual conduct of a victim under 13.
