Video – Switchblade stabbing in Bronx High School - 1 Dead, 1 Wounded

Young Mr Abel Cedeno, 18 years old, plunged a switchblade (it was first reported he used a pair of scissors) into the chests of both a 15 and a 16 year old (wo will remain unnamed) this Wednesday morning inside the walls of their high school.

He killed the first boy (pronounced dead on arrival at the St Barnabas hospital) and seriously wounded the other (fighting for his life according to the latest reports).

The violent act took place around 11am this morning, on the fifth floor of their school while the boys were entering class. Details are sketchy at this early stage of the investigation, but it is believed that Mr Cedeno was a target of repeated bullying by the younger boys.

The Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Conservation on Mohegan Avenue in East Tremont where all went to class does not have metal detectors in place apparently.

A spokesman for the city council, Mr Eric Philips, tweeted that Mayor Bill de Blasio is “likely to make an appearance in the Bronx later this afternoon.”

The Mayor’s office did give a press conference about the incident already at which they showed a picture of the deadly weapon and expressed their deep regret for this latest act of unnecessary violence.

The school has kindergarten through high school classes. Al the students are in lockdown in the school and parents want to know what exactly is happening. It has become known that the students were ordered to turn off their mobile phones.

A CBS reporter who saw the arrest of the boy taking place said that he looked very calm and ignored reporters questions as he was led into the police car
