A Russian blogger who was heartbroken after his marriage had ended, chose to commit suicide by letting his pet black mamba snake bite him in the hand. He then live-streamed the event on Facebook.

Mr. Arslan Valeev, 31 years old and hailing from the Russian city of St Petersburg livestreamed a video on Facebook yesterday in which he, at long length, explained that Katya had left him and that he was heartbroken. He then went off screen for a while to allow his pet black mamba snake bit him in the hand so he could die.

Before you ask, it is not allowed to keep a deadly black mamba, but Mr. Vaseev used to work in the St Petersburg zoo and Russian checks on keeping dangerous animals in your apartment are not like US checks we guess.

You can clearly see his eyes starting to swell and Mr. Valeev losing consciousness near the end. Russian authorities have in the meantime confirmed Mr. Valeev’s death.

He explained in the video furthermore that his wife had left him because he beat her up, an act for which he later apologized.

Mr. Vaseev’s final words: “If I die, then I die… I just will stay with you for some time. Just in case - on my mobile, there is a message for Katya…I just will stay with you for some time. Just in case - on my mobile, there is a message for Katya… Pass on to Katya that I loved her very much. Beautiful, isn't it? Oh, damn, how it… Bye to everyone… I can't believe it is happening to me…"

He finished with reading Katya’s mobile number and then could be heard dying off screen.

Mr. Vaseev and Miss … were quite famous on youtube for their channels BobCat TV (about felines) and Exotarium (about snakes) where they had hundreds of thousands of followers.
