Take a Knee or Take a Stand

Take a knee? Yeah, cuz you could donate some of your millions to inner city schools or African American rights groups or be outspoken in a different venue about the disparity of race relations in the country and have a much bigger impact on the discrimination that takes place, or, OR, you could kneel during the anthem like a dick, stir up more drama in an already divided country and make NO fucking statement whatsoever. But you know what? At least with option two, you don't have to donate your millions of dollars and you get to stay seated before the game.

The anthem isn't a symbol of the politics of the hour, it's a symbol of supporting your country. Also, I'm not talking about Kaepernick, who also chose to support his cause in the wrong way, I'm talking about all the bandwagon football players who very clearly AREN'T kneeling for the same reasons that he did. This is less a statement about how African Americans are treated by the police force, which was his reason for kneeling, and more a statement about how the pwesident is a big meanyyyy. Very few player kneeled during the anthem last year when Colin tried to make his point. Now, a week after the Trump/Curry fiasco, everybody kneels? This is most definitely not the same situation.

This is spoiled rich babies being upset that other spoiled rich babies got a mean tweet from the president.

In fact, the fact that players didn't show nearly as much solidarity over a MUCH more valid point that Kaepernick was trying to make just makes this whole scenario that much more pointless. We can't come together over innocent African American's being killed (you know, the poor ones) but YOU BETTER NOT BE MEAN TO ONE OF THE MILLIONAIRES.

The players that disrespect the flag should look into what other country will pay them to play a game they love playing.

I'm sure its not the millions they get now.
