Law enforcement has been engaged in a nationwide manhunt for a convicted gang member who was wanted in connection to a series of deadly crimes near Knoxville, Tennessee.
Police say 23-year-old Jaleen Genard Allen, was the primary suspect in the robbery and murder of 28-year-old Michael W. Johnson who was found shot and killed in front of his home at 418 Agnes Road in Knoxville, missing both his wallet, shoes, and jewelry by the family who realized his car had been stolen.
The original All Points Bulletin (APB) put out by the Knoxville Police Department said that “Allen is black, with brown eyes and black hair and he has tattoos covering most of his arms and torso” and also was “known to carry more than one gun, with one normally hanging from a chain around his neck” and that "Allen should be considered armed and dangerous."

Allen was a well-known gangbanger who police say “traveled back and forth between the Motor City and the Marble City often” as per potential drug and criminal activities.

Detroit Police are now holding Allen on the arrest warrant for homicide in the Detroit Detention Center where two Knoxville Police Detectives are on their way to interview him.

He will have an extradition hearing in a few days where he will have the option to fight extradition back to Tennessee or waive his right and be transported immediately to face first-degree murder charges.
Law enforcement originally arrested 27-year-old Michael Clayton, and 19-years Lacie Morgan Hunt as persons of interest, who eventually told Knoxville Police that Allen was responsible for the murder which leads to the arrest warrant.
