Two Maryland teens have been arrested for the kidnapping and rape of a female classmate with a search underway for a third suspect. Police in Frederick, Maryland say that the 18-year-old victim was ambushed as she walked home to her apartment. The three men grabbed her and at around 12:30 a.m on September 2nd and cut her with a knife, hit her, pulled her hair and dragged her into a waiting vehicle. The three suspects drove the victim to an apartment building nearby which is where they raped her.

The two suspects who have been apprehended so far are Edgar Chicas-Hernandez, 17, and Victor Gonzalez Gutierres, 19, both teenagers have affiliations with gangs. The victim has been unable to identify the third suspect because his face was covered. According to police, both Chicas-Hernandez and Gutierres raped the victim for several hours while the third suspect filmed the assaults. Sargent Andrew Alcorn of Frederick Police Department said, "We’re looking into all possible gang affiliations and ties to see if the suspects have or had any ties to local gangs or transnational gang." Investigators discovered messages were sent through social media referencing and planning the rape before and after the crime by a friend of the victim.

Court documents reveal the victim's younger sister may been in on the attack and even offered to let her boyfriend view the tape of her sister's rape in what she called a "night of pleasure". Frederick Police apprehended Chicas-Hernandez on September 12 and Gutierres a day later. ICE officials say Gutierres was released on an immigration bond in April after he was arrested for failure to obey and resisting arrest, they have since lodged an immigration detainer for the teenager after his most recent arrest.
