3.6 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Los Angeles Residents

Late Monday night in Los Angeles brought residents quite a scare when a 3.6 magnitude earthquake shook the city. Earthquake experts say that there is unlikely to be any damage from the earthquake, but it could be felt 4 miles northwest of Westwood around 11:20 p.m. on Monday.

There have been no reports of damage or injury at this time. U.S. Geological Survey seismologist Zachary Reeves told the Los Angeles Times, "We get these size earthquakes fairly frequently. Any severe damage would be pretty unlikely."

People reacted on Twitter to the earthquake when the hashtag #earthquake trended.
