Law enforcement in Miami Township, Ohio says that they've had no choice but to force evacuations after a bomb threat at a local retailer.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the threat was phoned into a Target Retail store which is located in Miami Township near the Dayton Mall in Dayton, Ohio.

The Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center says that someone called the location at around 10 PM Saturday night to threaten that four explosive packages were left inside the building to be detonated.

Law enforcement from both the Miami Township Police Department, the Dayton Police Department, and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office forced local businesses to evacuate and recommended that those living nearby seek shelter and avoid the scene.

Police also closed all roads nearby as a safety precaution to ensure that anyone driving would be out of harm's way.

K-9 units and Montgomery County Sheriff's Bomb Squad were both on the scene into the late hours trying to make sure that if there are any explosives inside the facility they can be properly disarmed and disposed of.

Investigators say that the dogs were unable to locate any type of explosive inside the perimeter, but that regardless the store at 2300 Miamisburg Centerville Road will remain closed for the evening.
