German Immigration Trial - Afghan Admits Rape And Murder of German Student

With two weeks to go until election, the major political parties can’t wait for this headline to go away. But with German press reporting even more grim details from the trial being held, it would appear that the nationalist AfD is sure to reap the benefits.

Here’s the story, back in 2015, an Afghan immigrant crossed the border into Germany.

He was called Hussein K. and he applied for asylum in Freiburg. He told local instances that he was 16 at the time, thinking this would make it easier to get everything in order. Authorities have now had to admit the man is likely 22 years old.

In the first place, how he managed to sneak into Germany is still a mystery as he was convicted of murder in Greece and jailed for 10 years a few years before that.

But let’s not waste our time on details.

Hussein K. gets benefits from the German state, an apartment to live in and so forth, all paid with German tax money.

One night, he had gotten drunk and stoned and came across a lovely girl on a bike, 19-year-old Maria L. as she cycled towards home.

He saw that she was a pretty girl and kicked her off her bicycle. He held her mouth closed but when she screamed for help, he began to strangle her with his scarf. At some point she lost consciousness he told investigators.

Hussein declared to the court that this was the point where he realized that she was a very pretty girl. “It came into my head - do it, have sex with her.”

Hussein undressed her and sexually assaulted her with his hand. As he was stoned from drugs, he says he couldn’t ‘perform’ otherwise.

Believing that at this point she was dead, he then threw her into the river and tried to get rid of the evidence.

The defendant apologized to the family of his victim after admitting the crime.

He said: “I am sorry from the bottom of my heart for what I did. I understand that it is very difficult for the family.”

The sentencing will follow in the next few days.
