Of Course They Did! Looters Being Arrested in Florida Already as Irma Bears Down

Hurricane Irma is beginning to tear into Florida and reap the sowed seeds of destruction, where millions of lives may be forever affected.

That hasn't stopped the criminal mindset of a few from taking advantage of the misfortunes of those who are under evacuation, however, and of course it's the usual suspects engaging in criminal activity.

While the mainstream media is filled with videos of destruction and rare events occurring in the skies, nobody is reporting what's happening behind the abandoned locked doors of the inner cities.

In Polk County Florida, we have another award winning star of the storm, 18 year old Marvell Parkinson, who's on a mission for criminal activity alongside an unnamed minor; both thugs who the Polk County Sheriff would like to make an example out of.

The pair of savage and heartless idiots were caught burglarizing residences, which is a very serious felony when a State of Emergency is ongoing.

A neighbor who stayed behind to brave the storm, and protect his family and property, witnessed the duo crouching behind a home of those who had fled the storm in Lake Wales.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Parkinson and his underage thug affiliate realized they were being monitored, and soon after split up to avoid detainment.

Now before the social justice warriors cry about racism or targeting, Deputies were able to quickly apprehend the criminals and also found a window punch in Parkinson’s pocket.

The 18 year old clearly had done this before, to actually have criminal professional burglary tools in his possession.

The minor who was his partner in crime, told Deputies everything they needed to know.

The criminals had been walking through the neighborhoods looking for unsuspecting victims to rob, when they found a home that wasn't boarded up.

Of course they weren't simply looking for people trapped inside to save, like good samaritans; no these thugs broke in through the back door to the residence and gathered what they could.

Shortly after, they exited the home and gained access to a detached garage, according to the minor, using the window punch.

According to the young criminal, the two then tried to steal a 2001 Dodge Intrepid which was in the garage, but having no mechanical skills, only sticky hands and a knack for crime, they couldn't get the vehicle to start because the battery was dead.

The minor and his adult mastermind partner in crime were charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, burglary of an unoccupied dwelling during a State of Emergency, resisting arrest without violence, possession of tools with intent to use for a burglary, and unarmed burglary of a residence. Parkinson faces an additional charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Feel sorry for him? Don't bother. The minor has been on probation since last year, and they each had their own respective criminal histories including burglary, grand theft, and possession of marijuana.

Parkinson was transported to the Polk County Jail the minor placed under Juvenile Detention.

“We want everyone to be safe during the hurricane. And we will not tolerate thieves taking advantage of those evacuating their homes. Looters need to be prepared to go to jail if they try to take advantage of people during a state of emergency,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
