A vicious pedophile has been jailed for “digitally participating” in the dastardly rape of a six-year-old boy live on the internet.
Philip Crabtee, 35, performed a sex act on himself on webcam while in England while watching the abuse against the boy take place here in the U.S.
Crabtee was part of an illegal group who shared images and videos of poor children being sexually abused. Members of the criminal gang included people from U.S. and Canada. The authorities have identified said members of the ring.
Crabtee’s home in Stoke, England was raided by the police and the authorities seized 890 indecent and obscene images and videos of children. 87 of those images and videos were evaluated to be under the most serious category.
Crabtee’s tactic to digitally get away with what he’s doing was also unearthed. He used a legitimate conference platform to watch the abuse. He also used his username on a regular basis to avoid detection.
Prosecutor Charlotte Newell told Stoke -on-Trent Crown Court: “Sexual exploitation of children was routine. He was identified as being present on numerous occasions including when live abuse of a six-year-old child was screened from the U.S. He was seen to perform sex acts on himself while child exploitation material was screened.”
Crabtee pleaded guilty to encouraging or assisting in the commission of one or more offenses, three charges of making indecent photographs of children and eight offenses of intentionally encouraging or assisting in the commission of an offense.
The vile pedophile has been sentenced to serve eight years and eight months in prison with an extra year on license.
It is not clear what authorities have done to the ring behind the abuse of children and if charges will also be lodged against other members of the site participating in the sexual abuses of children.
