Law enforcement in Alabama say they've now detained a violent criminal after he's believed to be responsible for the murder of a 21 year old man in Madison County.
44 year old Sammie Lee Driskell, was taken into custody for the savage shooting death of Christopher Hamlett, according to Madison County Sheriff's Lt. Brian Chaffin.
Police say Hamlett was found shot to death with multiple bullet wounds in the face after Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an emergency 911 call about gunshots at 156 Dexter Circle.

"Driskell was there visiting family and Hamlett showed up," Lieutenant Chaffin said. "An argument broke out and that's when Driskell got a gun and shot Hamlett."
At this time police are still searching for answers as to what may have caused this murder scenario, but they believe it's a robbery in which the suspect took the man's life to make a quick few dollars.
Hamlett was a family man, who preached in a youth pastoral group at his local church and had never even had so much as a speeding ticket in his life.
Sammie Lee Driskell is now being detained in the Madison County Jail with a bail set at $50,000 cash.
If convicted of murder, he faces up to life in prison. However the family of young Hamlett will never get their loved one back.
Such crimes are becoming prevalent, where vile thugs would rather take a man's life in a robbery than work to provide for themselves.
Anyone with information on this atrocious murder or who may have information on the suspect involved is urged to contact the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 256-532-3416 with any tips.
