Law enforcement in Columbus, Ohio say that a 17 year old woman fatally stabbed her one year old daughter.
According to investigators Lachelle Anderson has now been arrested on the suspicion of the horrific murder of her own child.
Police say that the gruesome murder occurred at around 1 AM in the 800 block of 22nd Street in Columbus.

The dead child, Lalanna Sharpe, suffered multiple stab wounds at the hands of her mother, and was reported dead at Nationwide Children's Hospital this morning.

Columbus Division of Police spokeswoman Denise Alex-Bouzounis said in a statement in regards to the child's death, "Any homicide is a tragedy but for a baby to have her life brutally taken is devastating for her family, the community and our officers on the scene and investigating this case."

It's an absolute travesty that a child so young has lost it's precious life to a vile and disgusting woman who doesn't deserve the title of “mother”.
