A pervert computer technician used the power and reach of social media to prey on about 500 vulnerable girls by befriending them over the internet to carry out sexual abuses. Good thing he has been caught, arrested and jailed.
Derek Hutton, 48, groomed the kids on Movie Star Planet (MSP) behind the usernames HornyDaddy and BigDaddy. Hutton’s evil ploy has been to strike conversations with young girls on the “tween”’ site then later liberally make sexual comments.
As the chats progress, Hutton would then invite the young girls to chat with him over Skype or ooVoo which both allow chats with webcams, and would then ask his victims to perform sex acts on camera, or send him naked photos.
A hearing on the case at Blackfriars Crown Court also revealed that Hutton would perform sexual acts on himself while the victims watched from the other end.
Hutton has set up more than 407 usernames on the site to go around the times he’s been repeatedly blocked. MSP was able to link them together because he used a common password. The site then reported their discovery to the authorities.
The pervert earlier installed VPN software on his computer to prevent investigators from tracking his IP address. The National Crime Agency (NCA) in fact thought at first that he was based in the U.S. before tracing him to his home in Harrow, north London.
The said perv was arrested on June 13, 2016, and he confessed to officers that: Ït’’s like when I’m alone, I get sexually frustrated, then I go there (MSP), and do that sort of thing. Then, when it’s over, I just feel absolutely horrified and disgusted.”
He pleaded guilty on court to three counts of causing a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity and one count of causing a girl aged between 13 and 15 to engage in sexual activity related to seven victims between January 2015 and May 2016. He also admitted to five counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, as well as to two counts of indecent images of children in relation to the same seven girl-victims.
He also confessed to other offenses involving 500 other unidentified girl-victims. Hutton’s lawyer, Jessica Russel-Mitra, argued that her client never tried to meet with the victims personally, and that he was straight-forward with his age in his dealings with the young girls. She said he pleaded guilty at the first available opportunity. She also emphasized that Hutton was trying to seek help for his problem.
Judge Henry Blacksell QC decided otherwise and said to Hutton in jailing him for 10 years: “You were a self-employed computer technician. It gave you expertise which you applied in a destructive, corrupt, manipulative and predatory way.”
Hutton’ was at it for two obsessive years. The MSP “tween” site is aimed at children between the ages of 11 and 15. The NCA said they have identified and safeguarded Hutton’s victims to guarantee that they have the support they need.
