Was he trying to serve his people with “holy”’ food, but cooked in such an ungodly manner? Good thing there was an intervention, divine or not, before the people could partake of the cringe-worthy meal. A suspected cannibal is accused of giving guests soup dastardly made from the corpse of a murdered clergyman’s corpse.
47-year-old Roland Peter was arrested while preparing a horrific dish in his kitchen allegedly with the murdered man’s liver and intestines. Peter is believed to be a member of the gang who kidnapped and killed Pastor Samuel Okpara from Edoha, Nigeria.
Police Commissioner Zaki Ahmed confirmed: “They kidnapped, killed and beheaded the victim and used his liver and intestines for pepper soup and plantain portage. He was arrested while preparing the meal for his gang.”
Peter will also be charged for the accusation that he’s keeping rifles used by their gang, led by “one Justus, but popularly known as High Tension.”
The suspect denied both the murder and cannibal allegations, claiming instead that he was only arrested for illegal possession of firearms. He confessed, though, that he knows the victim, and even wildly said that he himself was “a man of God”, too. He also said that it is his “religion” that moves him to help people by feeding them. He said the victim came to his house because he was hungry so he asked his wife to give the pastor some food to eat.
The alleged cannibal even claimed that his “generous” act was also done to save his wife and children: “If you deny the guys what they want, they will rape your wife, kill you and your children. So to save my wife and family, we gave him food and the police came in the night and arrested me.”

Peter countered that he used fish, and not human parts, in his dish. He took pains to stress he was “ a man of God” and the head pastor of God’s Tabernacle church so he claimed he “can not lie.” He also said he was a mechanic.
The suspect also claimed the police only arrested him because they claim that cultists keep their guns in his house, an allegation Peter again denied.
It is already the second cannibal horror allegation to rock Africa in only a week. Earlier, five men were arrested after a woman was allegedly raped, murdered, butchered before her body parts were cooked and eaten, too in Estcourt, South Africa.
