The Fulton County SheriPolice Standoff in Ohio Ends in House Explosionff's Department says that the received a call about a domestic dispute in Swan Creek Township right outside of Toledo, Ohio.

Investigators say that a man entered the home of possibly his ex-wife or girlfriend and her two children, and began threatening her then himself with suicide.
She then contacted emergency 911 to report the incident and police shortly were dispatched to the residence.
Once the Sheriff's Office arrived the woman and her two children were able to escape the home but the man barricaded himself inside the premises, refusing to cooperate with Deputies.
A Deputy attempted to gain entry into the home at which time he began smelling heavy gasoline and backed off also clearing the area.
Sheriff Roy Miller of the Fulton County Sheriff's Department says that's when the suspect set the home on fire, apparently with the gas running, and the house literally blew up.
The entire neighborhood felt the rattle of the explosion, according to police.
The Swanton Local Fire and Rescue were then brought to the scene to quell the flames from the explosion, at which time they recovered the corpse of the man in question.
Several roads nearby are currently closed as the State Fire Marshal investigates. Airport Highway, U.S. 20A between Fulton County Roads 2-2 and 3; all remained closed as of the time of this article.
Law enforcement have yet to released the deceased man's name but Sheriff Miller says forensic investigation and detectives will be on the case in the coming days.
