Two More Reporters Attacked by Antifa Over the Weekend

This weekend in San Francisco, Nathan Stulpman, aka Lift the Veil a YouTube based citizen journalist and independent reporter was assaulted. Nathan had shown up to the Berkeley Patriot day event to live-stream it for his channel. He was evidently singled out for his polo shirt. We’ve already seen people attacked for haircuts though, so beating someone based on the shirt they wear seems the il-logical next step.

This is just one of the latest instances of violence against reporters occurring at the hands of Antifa, the “peaceful counter-protestors” of Charlottesville. Around 40 minutes into Nathan/LTV’s live- stream he comes across some Antifa clad in the traditional garb of the black bloc. The agent of the AntiFada utters those familiar words, a verbal kiss of death, “Stop filming, bro.”

Soon after Nathan is surrounded, swathed in a black flag and his phone stolen. After this he’s warned to leave for his own safety. This played out not unlike the Richmond, Virginia event where a CBS6 reporter and photographer were attacked by the black-bloc an-comms.

“I can film whatever,” the CBS 6 staffer is heard to reply on the video. “Get out of my face.”

“Get the fuck out of here with that mess,” a black-bloc counter-protestor

He explains that he’s press. He’s explained polos are “Nazi.”

“I’m just here, I’m just a journalist.”

At this point yells of “Nazi go home” began, airhorns blare and soon he’s covered in a flag and the broadcast ends.

At this point, CBS6 employees reports they were swathed in a black flag and the photographer was beaten so severely his head required multiple stitches. The flags and the masks aren’t just theatrics, they aid in the intimidation tactics of Antifa, a nearly century old international terrorist organization.

In Portland this June, the March against White Nationalism saw a citizen journalist attacked while covering the event. It’s caught on camera from multiple angles. Considering the Antifa actant was white and the reporter a POC it seems “protecting minorities from racism and violence” only extends to those who share your political philosophies.
