Police in Brunswick County, North Carolina say that a convicted sex offender has been arrested after his two year old child was found with a broken arm.
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says that 36 year old Lowell Curtis Alsbury was arrested for felony child abuse once the child's injuries were determined to have been intentionally caused.
While Sheriff’s Detectives didn't specify the circumstances surrounding the treatment of the child they did say that Alsbury is now in the Brunswick County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
Preliminary investigations into Alsbury’s criminal history with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety website, Alsbury served about 14 months in prison after being convicted on two counts of indecent liberties with a child on 2013.
He also was convicted of violating the sex offender registry laws back in 2016 by being on a child's premises which he is barred from doing while being a pedophile.
