Scandal reaches us from ashore. The London newspaper Times reports today that a 5-year old Christian girl was taken from her family to live with a Muslim foster family. The carer wears a niqab and allegedly would be encouraging the girl to learn Arabic.
A report seen by the newspaper states that the girl is “very distressed” and was not allowed to eat spaghetti carbonara, here favorite meal, because the dish contains bacon, which is forbidden in Islam. A recorded claim states that her necklace and Christian cross were removed by one carer.
The girl is starting to get influenced more and more by the foster parents it seems. During a social worker’s visit with her mother, she stated that “Christmas and Easter are stupid” and “European women are stupid and alcoholic”.
A friend of the family who wished to remain anonymous, stated that: “This is a five-year-old white girl. She was born in this country, speaks English as her first language, loves football, holds a British passport and was christened in a church. She’s already suffered the huge trauma of being forcibly separated from her family. She needs surroundings in which she’ll feel secure and loved. Instead, she’s trapped in a world where everything feels foreign and unfamiliar. That’s really scary for a young child,”
The scandal is taking place in the town of Tower Hamlets, east of London, which is known for widespread election fraud, and was at a certain point by Islamist-linked former mayor Lutfur Rahman.
Tower Hamlets is what is known as a migrant melting post. It has a population which is a mere 31 per cent white British compared to an average of 45 per cent for the remainder of London, a city of ten million. The case is making headlines as it is so normal for children from ethnic backgrounds to be housed with white foster cares and the opposite, as in this case, is very rare.
