Montana Couple Charged With Homicide In Gruesome Stabbing Of Two Victims

Two western Montana residents have been charged with deliberate homicide and accountability to deliberate homicide in the stabbing deaths of two people on August 17th. Tiffanie Pierce, 23, and Augustus Standingrock, 26, were both arrested and made initial court appearances on Monday. They have not entered pleas at this time nor have the victims' names been released. The two alleged murderers tried to destroy the bodies by putting them inside giant barrels of toxic chemicals. Prosecutors say the barrels were purchased by Pierce to in an attempt to dispose of the bodies.

Pierce's roommate woke up to the sound of a woman's screams and discovered Pierce and Standingrock washing blood off themselves in the bathroom. That is when Pierce told her roommate that there was a dead woman in the basement. The roommate left the home but Pierce showed up to his work and stated that she had "killed a couple people last night." According to prosecutors, Pierce also told her roommate that Standingrock brought two people to their home last night and attacked one in the basement.

When the second victim tried to escape, Pierce attacked him as well. Investigators confirmed that both victims died of stab wounds. Pierce is also being investigated for a home invasion where another victim was stabbed last July. The victim in the home invasion told officers that Pierce demanded repeatedly, "Where's the money, where's the drugs?" It is unknown at this time what the motivation was for the murder of the two stabbing victims.
