Parents who harm their own children aren't parents at all, they're monsters.
That's what's being alleged out of Hendersonville, Tennessee, where authorities say a Kentucky native drowned her seven year old child.

According to the Hendersonville Police Department, they received an emergency 911 call earlier this month to an apartment complex where a child was discovered under water and not breathing.
Once emergency medical responders arrived to the scene, they attempted to perform CPR on the young girl, to no avail.
The seven year old girl was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police officials say that the child's mother, 25 year old Kristin Mays, of Elkton, Kentucky; was supposed to have been watching the girl but failed to do so.
Detectives later said that the mother “failed to maintain visual supervision”, because she was intoxicated and partying instead of being a parent.
She was charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide today and now has been arrested and taken into custody.
Police are asking anyone with any further information on this case to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-573-5400. Tips can also be submitted by text to the number 274637 (crimes) using keyword TIPHPD.
