Police in Yadkinville, North Carolina say that a man with a vendetta against his estranged wife is responsible for a brutal stabbing attack against his estranged wife.
Yadkinville Police Department says they first received an emergency 911 call this morning about a stabbing that had occurred on Chestnut Street.
Authorities say that the victim’s mother heard her daughter screaming “bloody murder” and she called for help.
Officers say that upon arrival they found 29 year old Bobby Justin Royal, the victim’s estranged husband, still inside the home holding a large hunting knife covered in blood.
Investigators said that Bobby Justin Royal broke into the home in the middle of the night and violently assaulted his estranged wife brutally stabbing her multiple times as she slept in bed with the former couple's one year old child lying right beside her.
The grotesque scene has left the young mother clinging onto life with doctors at nearby Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center saying she may not survive due to severe organ and tissue damage from the repeated stabbings.
The one year old child was also injured in the horrific attack although investigators didn't illuminate on the full spectrum of the child's injuries.
