For a group who prides itself as opposing another gang they have labeled to be espousing violence, racism and hatred, the antifas surely have an odd way of proving they are the good guys in this “fight”. Take for example the simple but illustrative case of an antifa almost killing a guy he mistook for a neo-Nazi on the basis not of his political beliefs, but mere hairstyle.
The ironic thing is the man was even avowedly not a neo-Nazi. He only happens to be sporting a long-on-top, buzzed-on-the-sides haircut, and for that alone the anti-fascist jerk mistook him for a neo-Nazi and nearly stabbed him to death.
Joshua Witt, 26, was just opening his car door at the parking lot of the Steak ‘n Shake in Sheridan, Colo., when a stranger just come up to him, accusing him of being a neo-Nazi.
Witt narrated: “All I hear is. ‘ Are you one of the neo-Nazis?” as this dude is swinging a knife up over my car door at me. I threw my hands up and once the knife kind of hit, I dived back into my car and shut the door and watched him run off west, behind my car.”
The most troubling part is the anitfa was actually aiming for Witt’s head, and could have done him real harm if he wasn’t also quick to react and defend himself. Witt confessed: “I was more in shock because I was just getting a milkshake.”
Witt suffered with a slice to the hand and three stitches.
He said in an interview with The Post that “apparently, my haircut is considered a neo-Nazi statement.” His account on Facebook where he shared his near fatal encounter with an antifa garnered 20,000 shares.
It is not yet clear if the identity of the antifa attacker has been established, and if cases will be pursued against him for the assault.
Witt added that he does not even have tattoos or regalia that would point to him as a fascist. His friends all assume he was mistaken only because of his haircut.
Because of what happened, he is thinking of changing his haircut.
Odd that it is Witt who will have to adjust, because apparently for antifas, there’s no longer “freedom of hairstyle”. One’s sense of peace and security can also be threatened just like that, and someone like Witt can almost get killed over hairstyles and a baseless accusation that he is part of a group that antifas supposedly oppose for espousing violence, hatred and racism- the very same sins committed by Witt’s attacker.
