Late Sunday night, Amy Siskind at Twitter implored GoDaddy to remove Andrew Anglin’s Neo-Nazi troll site The Daily Stormer. Nearly instantly, a doxing effort coordinated against Amy (if you can call it doxing when the person in question isn’t anonymous) took place. A perfect way to enhance the importance of removing the site. Site founder, jailbait fan and proud learner’s permit holder Andrew Anglin’s site appears to have been hit by an Anonymous hack since GoDaddy’s announcement. Key word here is appears.

According to @YourAnonNews on Twitter: “We have no confirmation that 'Anonymous' is involved yet. Looks more like a [Daily Stormer] stunt. Wonder if they are having issues finding a new host."

The Daily Mail reports that sans new hosting Daily Stormer may have seen its last stand once GoDaddy revokes their service.
As for <a href=”https://www.dailystormer.com/hacked-anonymous-now-in-control-of-daily-stormer/
“>the supposed hack</a>, if it <i>was</i> a hack (and not just a hack-job at misdirection), why would only one page be affected. It appears more so that a “we are hacked” page was added to the site as no other pages are affected currently.

<a href=http://securityaffairs.co/wordpress/61982/hacktivism/anonymous-charlottesville-ddos.html> An actual hack</a>, of the Charlottesville city webste, claimed by Anonymous, has occurred. This was part of Anonymous’ proposed #OpDomesticTerrorism campaign. How this helps anything is anybody’s guess, but considering Anon’s primary tools are pizzabombs, DDoS and doxing, it may have been the best tool at their disposal. Once again, the reason why Charlottesville’s city website would be attacked is anybody’s guess.

Despite all this, Daily Stormer’s traffic over the weekend has been through the roof. Much of this attention, no doubt, from horrified normies hate-watching in slack-jawed disbelief. Even amongst many members of the alt-right Anglin is considered a joke. Regardless of your political opinions, “Nazi larping” is most likely <i>not</i> the best idea to win any sort of mass appeal for your cause. The latest offense, a tasteless write-up about the victim of the hit and run in Charlottesville is just more evidence of the possibility that Anglin may be an intentional agent provocateur. Hell, even genuine “white power” types who congregate at Stormfront.org (White Pride, Worldwide) find his antics disgusting and tasteless. A search for “Andrew Anglin” & “controlled opposition” in quotes brings back over 13,000 search results soo evidently this isn’t just my thinking.
This isn’t the first time Daily Stormer has endangered their own site through. Over $159K has been <a href=https://www.wesearchr.com/bounties/daily-stormer-vs-splc-legal-defense-fund>raised through the right wing crowdfunding site WeSearchR</a> for their battle against the Southern Poverty Law Center. Apart from providing an excellent means of “guilt by association” and serving as the perfect, cartoon caricature of “the millennial e-Nazi,” it’s hard to see what purpose he serves.
Unless that is solely it, in which case, the “act” has been a smashing success.
