Law enforcement in Midlands says that a four-year-old girl is dead after her own mother duct taped her mouth shut.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Office arrested Cynthia Estrada-Lopez on Friday after the Indictment was returned for the death of her child.
According to the Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old Estrada-Lopez attempted to restrain the young girl to her bed by taping her mouth shut, then later abandoned the girl there.
An unnamed person found the girl not breathing later in the evening and made an emergency 911 call for help.
Upon arrival to the crime scene, emergency medical responders say that the girl was unresponsive.
She was transported to a nearby hospital where unfortunately she was later pronounced deceased upon arrival.
Estrada-Lopez has now been charged with homicide by child abuse as a direct result of her actions which killed her own daughter.
