Shooting in Great Lakes Leaves Three Dead

Sheriff's officials in Kenosha County have said that three people have been pronounced dead following a shooting at Great Lakes Dragaway this Sunday. The shooter is still on the loose and Sheriff's are seeking information regarding anyone who may see him. Authorities described a black vehicle in a press conference this evening stating that the victims were shot at "point black" range. The type of weapon or description of shooter is still unknown.

It all started at 7 p.m. when sheriff's department got a call that three people had been shot at a motor speedway hosting an event called Larry's Fun Fest. A second 911 caller also called to report a killing. Kenosha County Sheriff's Sgt. Mark Malecki has released that two people were conveyed to the hospital. Sheriff's also confirmed that alleged gang members hailing from Milwaukee and Chicago could have been involved. Staff from Larry's Fun Fest spoke with the press and described how 5,000 were expected to show up for the event. The event itself showcases many small and souped up cars similar to those in 'Fast and Furious' movies.

Sheriff's Sgt. Mark Malecki said "We're investigating how active the scene is, whether the suspect or suspects are still on scene or if they cleared the scene prior to law enforcement arriving. We're treating this as a very serious situation." The ensuing chaos where hundreds fled the scene for fear of their own safety has made it difficult for the police to identify if the shooters have left or are still confined to the crime scene after police arrival.
