There were several harrowing cases of rape victimizing different women perpetrated by a Dallas man. One woman was raped in a closet; a pregnant woman was mercilessly raped and zip-tied in a bedroom, and another woman was sexually attacked while her two children were just in another room.

The suspect has been identified as Sean Padilla. He was arrested last month and has since confessed to a total of four rapes in Dallas and one in Garland since April.
One woman recounted that on April 20 Padilla came into her apartment, showed his weapon and robbed her. Not content with his loot, the suspect tied the woman’s hands with zip ties and pushed her to the bed. The woman cried that she was pregnant but Padilla said he could not care less. The woman tried to put up a fight and attempted to snatch his weapon from him. When it became apparent that she could not defeat him, the victim said she stopped struggling only to protect her unborn baby. Padilla went on to do the despicable crime. After he has finished with the dastardly act, Padilla even asked the victim to take a shower.
Crime scene technicians later identified Padilla’s fingerprints inside the woman’s home as shown in court records.
The second rape happened on May 2 in Holly Hill Drive. The third rape took place on May 30 on Jupiter Road in Garland. Details on those two rapes are not yet available.
Another harrowing rape occurred on June 26 victimizing a woman living in an apartment with her two children. She was just getting her broom outside when Padilla just emerged and threatened her with a weapon and pushed her inside the apartment.
Padilla even told her that he was there to rape and rob her. Her two children came out of their rooms but the mother ordered them back to their rooms. The suspect then took the victim to the bedroom to rape her. She told him that a maintenance man was on the way to do some work. The suspect then went off her and ransacked the apartment.
The two children came out of their rooms again, then the suspect ordered them to undress and forced them to take a shower with their mother to “wash away all the evidence.”
Padilla then ordered the victim to stay in the shower to give him time to escape. She saw him load her property into a black four-door vehicle with a Dallas Cowboys sticker.
Court records say crime scene technicians have also identified Padilla’s fingerprints in the apartment.
Another rape happened on July 18 in the 2900 block of Kendale Drive. A woman was holding her eight-month-old baby as she walked to her front door. She opened her door and put the car baby seat with her child still in it inside the apartment. As she turned to close her door, she saw Padilla standing in the doorway, holding a weapon.
The suspect took her and her baby inside the closet and raped her. He took some of her belongings before fleeing.
Police issued a public alert and a sketch after that last crime on July 18.
Padilla now faces three counts of aggravated sexual assault, one count of aggravated assault of a child and one count of burglary. His bond has been pegged at $500,000.
