21-Year-Old Man Shoots Victim for Walking on Grass

The Police authorities in Monroe have reported that a 21-year-old man shot another man, for walking on his lawn.

As ridiculous as it may sound, an active arrest warrant is out for Demorion Dontae Baker, also known as "duck" for 2nd-degree murder.

The authorities responded to the shooting in the 300 block of Morton street. The authorities revealed that around 12:00 p.m. Saturday, the victim and a friend were walking to another resident's home when the victim walked across Baker's yard.

Baker lives at the residence of 302 Morton Street with both his mother and grandmother. At the time, he was standing next door, in the driveway of 304 Morton Street, when he withdrew a pistol grip style shotgun from his pants, and fired a shot from the shotgun, striking the victim.

He then placed the shotgun in a red Mercury Grand Marquis, and then fled the scene in a silver 2007 Honda Accord, with Louisiana license plates XPC581.

In the meantime, the victim was transported to a local hospital and was later airlifted to a medical facility where the victim was listed in stable condition.

If one has information on Demorion Baker's whereabouts, they should contact the Monroe Police Department at (318) 329-2600. Baker is 5'5 tall and weighs 133 pounds. It’s also worth noting that there’s a cash reward of up to $2,000 if one has tip leading to the arrest or indictment.
