Local Atlanta rapper Yung Mazi is dead. He was fatally shot on Sunday night in Atlanta’s Kirkwood community.
Police arrived at the scene of the shooting near the intersection of Oakview Road and Hosea l.Williams Drive shortly before 9 p.m. where they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
The authorities said the local celebrity appeared to have been targeted in front of a pizza store named Urban Pie, and such explains the multiple shots fired at him.
Officers responded to the scene when they heard gunshots outside Zone 6 headquarters, located just near 2025 Hosea Williams Drive.
Authorities have yet to release the identity of the suspect. Social media was ablaze with news and views on the shooting, and apparent killing of the rapper.
Last year, Yung Mazi survived a terrible shooting incident at a Buckhead Waffle House. He was shot three times in the said incident.

Some of his friends and followers took to social media to also expressed their grief and disbelief on what happened to Mazi. Monica Brown said on Instagram: “My heart is bleeding.” Loveforbrasi posted: “ R.I.P Yung Mazi, let’s pray for his family and friends as this is a very difficult time for everyone right now.#yungmazi #yungmazibwa #ripyungmazi
On Twitter, Dapper Pa said: “Rest easy, Mazi”, Bodmon Suave: “RIP to the guy Mazi” and Jq: “RIP Mazi, they have been trying for a minute.”
