A pro-Trump group only wanted to conduct a free speech rally in Portland on Sunday, but violent antifas refused to leave them alone, and disrupted their activities resulting into bloody brawls and heated altercations. The police failed to stop the said violence in the streets of Portland.
The demonstration intended to be peaceful and orderly was organized by the Patriot Prayer group. The rally-goers started gathering at around 2 p.m. for the Freedom March event.

Local journalist Mike Bilvis reported on social developments and updates on the antifas disruption and violence. Bivis posted a video of the confrontation of the two groups in a 45-second clip. Bilvis also wrote: “March started, BIG FIGHT as “antifascists” pepper spray “patriots”, skateboard used as weapon, chaos.”

There was also another video of flag-burning by the antifas in downtown Portland while making their chants.

Bivis posted on Twitter: “Dude got bloodied up in the last brawl, it’s on my periscope. Super intense footage”, along with a short video clip. The 8-seconder footage shows a man with a bloodied face being assisted and appeared to be being led away by companions. Screams could be heard in the back ground.
Mike Bilvis also shared another 8-seconder video clip of a “standstill at the fountain.” Chants of “go home, Nazis!” could be heard in the footage.
The group and the journalists who covered the event noted the lack of police visibility in the event. Later, the Portland Police release a short statement on Twitter. It said: “Police continue to observe in person and over video feed. People involved in unlawful activity are subject to arrest today or a later date.”

The event was promoted on the group’s Facebook page. The group said it was their goal that “the more hatred we see the more we have to stand against it.

Portland has become such a hotbed for clashes between the patriots and the antifas. Just in June, antifas attacked police officers in another pro-Trump free speech rally.
