Dubai, and the UAE at large has recently seen a series of fires which some say can be attributed to rising temperatures, while others remain uncertain as for if terror is a motive which is being swept under the rug to protect the city's image.

Hundreds of residents have been safely evacuated from the Tiger Tower, according to social media posts from the ground.

Many residents reported seeing black smoke from their upper floor windows and immediately gathered their loved ones and headed to the ground level.

Tiger Tower is in the same neighborhood as the previous Torch Tower fire, leaving locals with more questions than answers as to how this continues to happen.

Early on Friday, a blaze hit the 86-story Torch Tower nearby. It was the second time in two and a half years that the more than 1,100 foot tall tower has been ravaged by fire. The Torch, located in Dubai’s popular waterfront Marina district, also caught fire in February 2015. There were no major casualties reported in either blaze.
