Charlie Gard touched the lives of the entire world as an example of how a socialized healthcare system can literally determine the fate of a human being, resulting in prolonged life and it's longevity to combat illness, or constructing a destiny that leads to death.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Charlie Gard. Charlie was a British boy with a rare genetic condition known as mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome. While receiving treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital, decisions about his care were taken to various law courts, where a ruling was made that the hospital could lawfully withdraw all treatment save for palliative care.

This went against the wishes of his parents, Chris Gard and Connie Yates from Bedfont, London. They campaigned to keep him alive on life support and travel to the United States for experimental treatment despite doctors and judges saying it would not help and would cause him "significant harm".

I am so sickened. So saddened. Charlie Gard has died. On July 24th of 2017, the parents ended their legal challenge. A further dispute between GOSH and the parents arose about the process for withdrawing life support, which was resolved at court on July 27th. He was then transferred to a hospice that day, and died today on July 28th after life support was withdrawn.

President Donald Trump, and the Pope, had both encouraged the family to come to the United States or elsewhere where the bill would be paid for in order to prolong the child's life. The invite received major opposition in European Courts before the family finally gave up the battle.

Terminally ill baby Charlie Gard has died because of socialized medicine. This is so sad. Rest In Peace Charlie Gard. https://t.co/xeNou6w8EX
— Makada 🇺🇸 (@_Makada_) July 28, 2017

While it's a tragic example of what happens when the government controls healthcare, it doesn't take away from the terrible loss to the family and Charlie homes. Rest in Peace Charlie Gard, the world will mourn your loss.

That Charlie died is of course horrible, but what is worse is that peice of shit Doctor who not only lied to all of you , but more importantly gave false hope to the parents. What he did was cruel, why? To start with the shitheel was given every opportunity to meet Charlie, look at charts, findings, everything. From January up till July he did 'nothing', his data was looked at when it was eventually passed to the medical team for checking and it was found that in the future those who were not as advanced as Charlie 'might' benefit from it, unfortunately Charlie had long passed that stage. It was found out that the Doctor was in fact financially involed and was using Charlie's condition merely as a way to gain more funding, he's a fucking louse. I of course hope that funding will be given and that a true solution is found soon, but frankly I hope Proffessor Hirano gets nothing.
