Three young Maryland thugs have now been arrested in connection with the homicide of a. 17-year old who was found shot to death in a car last week.
Law enforcement from the Prince George's County Sheriff’s Office says that Kalik Johnson and Kylah Nettleton, who are both 18 years old, and Darius Johnson, who is 17 years old, are responsible for the brutal murder of 17-year-old Dustin Khoury in Laurel, Maryland.
Police say they responded to a 911 call ok the 3000 block of Contee Road about a shooting just before 8:30 PM and they found Dustin horribly injured in a car with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he was then pronounced dead.
Dustin's father, Michael Khoury, said he and his wife buried their 17-year-old son on Monday. Both he and his wife are still terribly distraught from the loss of their children but Michael did issue a statement about the arrests of those believed responsible for his son's death.
"I feel sorry for them. I feel sorry for their families, who have to endure a lot of pain, like we did," Michael Khoury said. He went on to say that Dustin Khoury was a "special kid," and that “everybody loved him.”
Michael said his son was one of a kind. “He'd help anybody, anything you'd ask of him. He was so dependable," Michael Khoury said.
Law enforcement believes that the suspects and victim were in the middle of a business transaction, although they didn't specify what type, when Dustin Khoury was shot. No additional details on that transaction were released immediately by police.
All three suspects are now charged with first- and second-degree murder. Darius Johnson is being charged as an adult due to his age.
Dustin Khoury would have been a senior at Meade Senior High School in the fall. "He had lots of hopes," his father said. "He wanted to go to college."
