The “high and mighty” days may be over for CNN or as President Donald Trump has so famously re-branded it for what it truly is- #FNN-#FakeNewsNetwork. CNN or #FNN is badly losing not only to Trump, but in the crucial ratings game.
Ever since CNN/FNN was “body slammed” by Trump and Project Veritas for their fake news reporting in the past weeks, its ratings have been taking a beating, and going down, down, down. For the month of May, CNN averaged 821,000 viewers per hour throughout the entire day and 1.12 million total viewers during the prime time hours. In comparison, Fox News average 1.42 million viewers per hour the entire day and got 2.24 million viewers during prime time, or twice the viewership of CNN during prime time.
By June, the numbers went even worse for CNN, in large part due to CNN being caught in a number of ‘fake news’ anomaly. The numbers were significantly down for CNN in June.
On June 28 in particular, CNN’s number dropped to only 666,000 TV viewers throughout the day, and only 882,000 viewers during prime time. Such horrible numbers were roughly only 80% of May’s monthly average for total day viewers and prime time viewers or 20% down.
But things may even be more pathetic than that. As reported by The Federalist, for the week of June 26th-July 2, CNN’s primetime shows including Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon shows only managed to draw about 6% fewer viewers than multi-decade old re-runs of “Yogi Bear” , “Full House”, and “Friends” which air in the same time slots on Nick-At-Nite.
Just goes to show that fake news and left-wing agenda when coupled with biased reporting do not pay.A bleak scenario for CNN/#FNN ahead in the years to come under the Trump administration— continue being slammed and beaten, or change its ways.
