Manhunt: Black Teen Girls on Robbery Rampage in Pennsylvania

Unfortunately, it was not just a scene from a badly-written and just as horribly-acted teen flick. It was for real. Two teenage girls are now wanted for the armed robberies of two taxi drivers and two tourists committed in eastern Pennsylvania last week.

Michael Chitwood, Upper Darby police Superintendent, even describes the girls as “violent predators.”

The girls robbed the two cabbies just two hours apart on the evening of June 19. The girls hailed the cabs, then once inside used a gun to forcibly get $100 and $80 respectively from the two poor drivers caught off guard by the seemingly harmless young passengers.

The same pair of teen suspects pulled off another stunt, only four days after, and on June 23 accosted two women visiting from Ecuador, robbing the women’s handbags which contained a combined amount of about $900. The victims were 86 and 52 years old.

In both incidents, the teens pointed their guns at the victims’ head or chest. Police say the teenage girls are both black and about 5-foot-9 tall. One is on the heavy side and wears a ponytail. The other is thin and had a head scarf.

Anyone with helpful information or knowledge of the girls’ identities and whereabouts should contact Upper Darby police at once before more people fall victim to the teen suspects.
