Georgia Mayhem: Customers Attack Restaurant Owner and Her Daughter Over ‘Cold Chicken’

A couple who were served with cold chicken in a Georgia restaurant went berserk and brutally attacked the owner and her teen-aged daughter.

The couple bought two meals from Qwik Chick takeout stand on Thursday and later complained that their chicken was cold and that the fries they received “were not enough.” Jeanette Norris, the owner, said that after some back-and-forth discussions, she decided to refund the meal, but the couple remained irate and could not be pacified.

Norris said to local media WTOC-TV: “She went berserk. They both lost it, him and her both started cussing and beating on the window. Security video captured the scenes where Norris confronted the couple outside her restaurant in Baxley, Ga. And the female customer started beating her. The video also shows her 15-year-old daughter trying to intervene, but the male customer punches her in the face instead, with enough force to knock her off her feet.

James Godfrey, Baxley Police Chief, said that the surveillance footage makes it clear that the attack by the couple was unprovoked. Godfrey was incredulous as he told the local media: “I have never seen anything like this. I have never heard of anything like this.”

The suspects are currently being hunted down by the police. They have been identified as Nathaniel Eric Smith and Latasha M. Smith. The couple have warrants for aggravated battery and cruelty to children.
