Financial Times global affairs correspondent Mr Gideon Rachman (winner of the 2016 Orwell prize for political journalism and named as commentator of the year at the European Press Prize awards) seems to have had a change of heart.

In today’s printed editorial the senior opinion maker of Europe’s largest business newspaper admitted that he had been wrong about the US’s 45th President.

Just two years ago, Mr Rachman had penned a long warning about a world that could see Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and Marine Le Pen lead some of the world’s biggest countries, and the Financial Times board was convinced that none of it would be for the better.

Fast forward two years and the stock market performance under the current White House administration coupled with Mr Trump’s willingness to become the first US president willing to take on the might of the Chinese economy has landed him praise.

Mr Rachman is not the first to admit that the world and its outlook has changed under President Trump.

Even current non-fiction bestselling writers like Mr Yuval Harari or Mr Steven Pinker admit in their latest manuscripts that Mr Trump might be rough around the edges, he has indeed changed history for the US.

As Mr Rachman put it, the current US president was the first “to notice the huge gap that had opened up between elite American opinion and that of the wider public on a range of issues from immigration, to trade, to identity politics.”

As to immigration, just as writer Mr Douglas Murray stated in his excellent book ‘the strange death of Europe,’ the elite European politicians currently still do not dare to say what some 75% of the public feels on immigration as it would not be ‘politically correct.’

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Donald Trump embodies the spirit of our age via <a href="https://twitter.com/FT?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@FT</a><br>Despite his condescending tone, Rachman seems to understand the Trump phenomenon. <a href="https://twitter.com/cdnecon?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@cdnecon</a> <a href="https://t.co/NoIqWexYnW">https://t.co/NoIqWexYnW</a></p>&mdash; TC Global Macro (@CarmichaelTed) <a href="https://twitter.com/CarmichaelTed/status/1054345717773492225?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 22, 2018</a></blockquote>

According to Mr Murray, this largely explains why since 2016 rightwing and populist parties in Europe have won every election that has been organized.

Just last weekend, the Polish law and justice party confirmed that when it comes to Eastern Europe, conservative and anti-immigration voices will remain in power.

Over in the US, Mr Trump was the first candidate to effectively exploit the divisions that had grown between what the mainstream US media (CNN, MSNBC and ABC) felt about immigration and what the general public (or at least a large part of it) felt about it.

The POTUS of the last two years could be seen saying and doing things that conventional analysts regarded as political suicide. But his instincts proved better than those of the pundits. Despite his age, Mr Trump also “got” new media and has been exploit it far more adeptly than other ‘classic’ politicians.

In conclusion, Mr Rachman states that: “the early signs are promising. The US economy is booming, while China’s economy is sputtering. The US Supreme Court has been reshaped. Under crushing American pressure, Canada and Mexico have agreed to rewrite their trade deal with America and other US allies are showing signs of falling into line. Whatever the results of the midterm elections next month, Mr Trump stands a good chance of re-election in 2020.”

THE SO CALLED POLITICALLY CORRECT CROWD PURPOSELY USING IDENTITY POLITICS INTENTIONALLY SEEK TO DESTROY THE IDENTITY OF EVERY RACE CREED AND RELIGION. THAT IS THEIR ULTIMATE GOAL. THEY PORTRAY THEMSELVES AS DEFENDERS OF CULTURES AND COLORS BUT THAT IS THE LIE AND DECEPTION THEY PEDAL. THEY SPEAK OF TRIBALISM AS THOUGH IT IS A BAD THING, AND PIT EVERYONE AGAINST EACH OTHER USING RACIST PROPAGANDA. BUT IN DOING SO THEY SIMULTANEOUSLY ARE DESTROYING DECADES OF CULTURES AND TRADITIONS. BEAUTIFUL CULTURES AND TRADITIONS, THAT WE ALL AS A SOCIETY SHOULD PROTECT AND CHERISH. EVERY CULTURE HAS ITS OWN UNIQUE AMBIANCE AND FEEL. THEY WANT TO MASH EVERYTHING TOGETHER SO THAT WE LOSE OUR FOUNDATIONS AND IDENTITIES. THEY WANT TO MAKE CARDBOARD OUT OF US ALL AND IMPOSE THEIR IDEOLOGIES AND CONTROLS ON THE BLANK SLATE. I DONT WHAT TO LOSE THE BLESSED BEAUTY OF EACH NATION AND CULTURE. WHEN IM IN INDIA OR MEXICO OR ITALY I WANT THE AUTHENIC FEEL AND NATURE OF WHAT EACH OF THOSE REPRESENT. I WANT TO KNOW CHINA AND GREECE AND POLAND FOR WHO THEY ARE A S A PEOPLE. EVERY NATION, ALL NATIONS AND CULTURES. DONT LET THE ELITE WHO THINK THEY ARE BETTER THAN THE AUTHENTIC NATURE OF THE GREAT PEOPLES OF THE WORLD BE DESTROYED. THE MANY FACETS OF GOD ARE REFLECTED IN EACH AND EVERY NATION. AND THE DEVIL HATES IT AND SEEKS TO DESTROY US ALL. RESPECT LOVE AND LIFT EACH OTHER UP. FORGET ABOUT THE WORD TOLERANT. INSTEAD SEEK TO APPRECIATE WHAT EACH OF OF THESE CULTURES IN THE WORLD HAVE TO CONTRIBUTE AND EXPERIENCE. #POPULISM FOREVER!!! LET SOVEREIGNTY REIGNIN EVERY NATION. GOD BLESS!!!

Great article, @steve_Dellar! Thank you. This is just 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝑶𝒏 𝑷𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕! @realDonaldTrump is a GREAT president. Right now I'm very concerned about this caravan MOB. I saw the photos of some battered and bloodied MX police officers… Oh, but, wait a minute, they're '𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔' though, according to the @DNC, right Democrats? We already know how Leftists feel about police, so they feel nothing for police who are hurt, so they care even less about Americans OR our Country. I said from the beginning this is 𝒏𝒐 coincidence. Think about it, 𝑺𝑶 close to election, the chaos, confusion, enough to take our minds from this most critical Election since 2016. They planned it 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 Soros who bankrolled it. Yep, this was all laid out 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒔 before the caravan MOB started coming through MX. This is just more evidence of how despicable they are–And how much they hate Americans & our Country! They know it, that's why they're now distancing from this 𝒎𝒐𝒃. 𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑵𝑲, America! This is simply common sense as #PresidentTrump has been saying for years. The science of reason–𝑳𝑶𝑮𝑰𝑪, our brain is wired at birth to be logical, to 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 common sense. If anyone is in the middle–Not knowing what side to take, or confused, you must choose what's right for America. It 𝒊𝒔 that simple.

Sorry, Steve for seemingly taking your article in another direction, but it's the same in that this is an 𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒄 time. Thanks again, now you can call me on my grammar!
